Greens shoot themselves in the head ... again!

Not that it comes as a surprise that Lidia Thorpe is quitting the Greens, but wasn’t it predictable that a party based on the notion that everyone gets a say cannot really be a political party?

By everyone, I mean truly everyone at the grassroots level, including some disturbingly deluded space kidettes.  If you’ve never been to a branch meeting, give it a try.  Better than reality TV.

Personally, I find Thorpe’s position hard to understand.  Probably because she finds it difficult to understand herself, judging by her public explanations, but she was elected to represent her constituency.  Just the way Alex Antic, Matthew Canavan, Pauline Hanson, Gerard Rennick, and Malcolm Roberts were.

Fun and games in the Senate ahead for us all.
